Hydrodynamic Model Simulation at the Port of Tanjung Rhu Belitung

Ports around Belitung Island have an essential role in supporting inter-island shipping activities, which positively impact economic growth. So that predictions to find out the condition of waters need be made early anticipate disruption ship's lanes. This study's prediction these was carried with a hydrodynamic model. Model accuracy (calibration) compares model results survey data. Based on several iterations, tidal and current velocity are obtained rate 5% 7%, respectively. These indicate model's relatively good level because it is below 10%. The also found wave height always higher during high tide conditions than low tide. In addition, along Tanjung Rhu channel, speed at point A1 experiences significant difference conditions, namely 0.285 m/s tide, 0.102 0.072 0.033 s when heading for narrowing water area due crush two landmasses. areas far from lanes (A1 A2) lowest compared close (A3). Because surrounding land slightly covers points A2), smaller A3 more open waters.
